Nanci Richards
Nanci Richards adds a touch of class to Staten Island or a touch of trash to Manhattan, depending on the way you look at it. Either way, it makes for laughter when Nanci performs her Blue-Collar-but-Book-Smart show at comedy clubs throughout the northeast
Raised amid endless rows of nail salons, beeper and bagel stores, and one big famous dump, Nanci Richards reeks of Staten Island, the forgotten borough of the Guidos, Guidettes and her nervewracking family
“My mother’s always trying to fix me up” say Nanci, “she’s like, “What’s wrong with Jimmy next door?” I’m like, “Ma, Jimmy’s in jail for manslaughter. “
She’s like, “Yeah, but he didn’t mean it.”
Nanci’s humorous life as a single woman in her forties, includes her young at heart grandma who drinks shots of Pepto Bismol with gin.
Add to this Nanci’s vocation as a New York City public school teacher and her stories will make you lose you tenure.
