Dan Chanod

n1223486297_30159306_6296
Giving a large portion of his comical credit to his unusual rearing in urban Stapleton, Staten Island, Dan Chanod is no stranger to awkward situations and ridiculous scenarios.

The 24-year-old was and always will be that guy in his group of friends which was always told that he “has to become a comedian.” In fact, his fast-track upcoming of becoming a comedian made his college experience take a back seat. A backseat to the tune of seven years to complete his B.S. (Bachelor of Science, that is). But it was during those years at SUNY Oneonta that Chanod really recognized his calling. His first show being at a local bar in Oneonta, New York, he managed to fill the place wall-to-wall on an usually slow and sober, Tuesday night.

His popularity among the Islanders continues to rise and he’s his the usual hot spots on the Island such as; Chic-n-Bones, Three Lounge, Martini Red, The Cup, the 13th Hour, the Cellar; and in Manhattan; Broadway Comedy Club and Funny Biz.

Chanod links his style to his music interests, which can only be described as a rediclous blend of Wu-Tang and ACDC. His life is much like that six-year-old mixtape sitting in your glove compartment — you never know what’s going to come on next.

God only know what’s in store for this kid next.
